21 Tara Dance
The nuns have been learning and performing "The Dance of the Praises to the 21 Taras" for many years now. The dance was developed by the American Indian classical dancer Prema Dasura at the request of the 3rd Jamgong Kongtrul Rinpoche from the texts of the Tara Cycle revealed by the great tertonChogyurLingpa.
The nun's dance teacher is also an Indian classical dancer, Andrea Abinanti, who learned the dance from Prema.
Nuns had performed Tara dance in public once at Namo Buddha during our beloved Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche’s 75th Birthday celebration and second time in 2008 during the official opening and consecration ceremony of the Nunnery.
They have also performed several Tara Dance to our dear sponsors and Rinpoche's student during the Namo Buddha Seminar in Nepal.
